Gamma Lambda Epsilon Sorority, Inc. is honored to be recognized by multiple cities for our leadership, service, and community impact. With Charleston, South Carolina and Birmingham, Alabama and  Virginia Beach, Virginia have issued formal proclamations declaring July 16th as “Gamma Lambda Epsilon Sorority, Inc. Day.”

These proclamations celebrate our founders, affirm our mission, and acknowledge the powerful work our members continue to carry forward in sisterhood, empowerment, and community advancement.

Since these proclamations are not published online, we provide an overview of each recognition below:

• Charleston Proclamation Overview — Acknowledges our founding roots and contributions to the Charleston community.
• Birmingham Proclamation Overview — Honors our continued impact and presence in the state of Alabama.
